Artists join the Craft Gallery through a jurying process and participate in the operation of Artisans United through staffing the Craft Gallery and helping manage the organization. See information for prospective members.

Craft Guild Members of Artisans United
The craft guilds offer many opportunities to engage with the arts and crafts, including meetings, workshops, shows at the Craft Gallery and elsewhere, and more. The current member guilds in Artisans United are:
- High Country Basketry Guild was formed in the Spring of 1985. Our aim is to stimulate interest in and perpetuate the art of basketry in the VA, MD and DC area. Read more about the guild.
- Knitting Artists of Northern Virginia s a knitting guild active in community service, holding professional workshops for its members, holding regular meetings, and generally having a good time.
- Northern Virginia Carvers mission:
To preserve, enhance and perpetuate the American cultural tradition of artistry and craftsmanship in woods. Read more about the guild. - Northern Virginia Handcrafters Guild is a non-profit organization supporting artisans and their craft in the Virginia, DC, & Maryland region.
- Potomac Fiber Arts Guild is an association of over 400 fiber artists located in the metropolitan Washington, DC area. The guild provides educational programs, study groups, collaboration and fellowship around a wide range of fiber arts, including weaving, spinning, knitting, quilting, felting, dyeing, surface design, as well as outreach activities for members.
- Potomac Polymer Clay Guild is one of the oldest polymer clay guilds in the country and is dedicated to exploring the use of polymer clay as an art form.
The Potomac Polymer Clay Guild covers the Washington DC Metropolitan area. The Guild holds Clay Days every second Saturday at the Fred M. Packard Center, 4022 Hummer Rd., Annandale, Virginia. Our meeting room is in the basement. We have the room starting at noon, but most members trickle in around 1 PM. If you are attending for the first time, it may be better to arrive around 1 pm. Our Clay Days are informal and friendly. We welcome all who are interested in working with polymer clay at any experience level. Clay Day is free to attend. - Quilters Unlimited is a quilt guild with 11 chapters in Northern Virginia. The guild welcomes quilters of all skill levels (from beginners to experts) and enjoy all types of quilting (traditional to contemporary). The guild’s focus is on education, encouragement – and fun!
- Waterford Weavers Guild has been fostering and nurturing the fiber arts community in Northern Virginia and its surrounding locales since 1973. Through meetings, programs, workshops and shows, the Guild is dedicated to helping both new and experienced fiber artists improve their knowledge and practice in all the fiber arts: weaving, spinning, knitting, dyeing, felting, etc.
